跟老金“前进”口语之托福独立口语亦堆集

有些同学长时刻困于这样一种paradox:

我的词汇量不是一般地多,像是deficiency、prohibitively、inanity、allegation…,我都背得滚瓜纯熟,完全不在话下。可一到说口语就傻眼了,为啥?这些词儿合适在口语顶用吗?不必吧,感触自个说得英语太low;要是用了这些词儿,说话的内容也就得跟着变深邃咯。可疑问是,我没办法在15秒预备时刻把自个弄成叔本华或汉娜阿伦特吧?哎~纠结!

1. exchange ideas、interact with、socialize with

“攀谈、交游、交际、交流、互动” 这些词儿常常会在口语里呈现。可一张口,就只能想到talkto、discuss、communicate。那究竟有没有非常好的表达方法呢?来,把上面三个词儿堆集下去!

ex:

用前:By talking to different people,students will know how to communicatewith others.

用后:By interacting and exchanging ideas with different people, students willlearn how to socialize with others.

2. get involved in sth

“参加、参加,融入” 用啥来表达?用take part in/participate 总感触不可劲儿。这时,involve就派上用场啦~

ex:

用前:One year’s working experience will let students take better part intheir university life.

用后:One year’s working experience will get students better involved in theiruniversity life.

3. allow sb to do sth

一说到“让或人做某事儿”,马上脑际里蹦出一个词儿来,叫let。可我们都用let,这let就显得过分普通了。怎么办?今后想说让或人或使得或人做某事,就用上面的allow!

ex:

用前:Working for a year before entering university may let the students bemore independent.

用后:Working for a year before entering university mayallow the students tobe more independent.

4. be supposed to do sth

或人需要做某事,或人大约要做某事,最早想到的就是need to do/should do,咱能换成美国人喜爱的这词儿不?

ex:

用前:Students need to get along well with their professors, roommates andclassmates.

用后:Students are supposed to get along well with their professors,roommates, and classmates.

5. Accessories:pretty、actually、basically

最终,再给几个比照不错的点缀副词哈!标明“非常”不要老是very,pretty也极好。而且语句和语句间的过度,不要老是because, youknow;多用用actually、basically哈!

Task2: Do you agree or disagree with the statement that students shouldwork for a year before entering university?

运用后:

I agree with the statement. Because one year’s working experience will getthe students better involved in their university life. Actually, in various workplaces, students are able to encounter different people. By interacting andexchanging ideas with them, students will learn how to socialize with others.This ability is pretty important, because after entering university, studentsare supposed to get along well with their professors, roommates, and classmatesto fit right in their campus life.

Besides, working for a year before entering university may allow thestudents to be more independent. Basically, they can earn some money in thatvery year by taking different part-time jobs. With the money, they pay thetuition and housing price and never have to get money from parents. So they canbe more independent.

运用前:

I agree with the statement. Because one year’s working experience will letstudents take part in their university life. Because in different work places,students can see different people. By talking to them, students will know how tocommunicate with others. And this kind of ability is important, because afterthey enter university, students need to communicate with their professors,

roommates and classmates to adjust to the university life.

Besides, working for a year before entering university may let the studentsbe more independent. They can earn money by themselves by doing differentpart-time jobs. So they can use their money to pay their tuition and housingprice. They don’t have to ask money from their parents. So they can be moreindependent.
